Bankston Motor Homes becomes the first Tiffin Motorhomes dealer, working closely with Bob Tiffin to bring high-quality motorhomes to Alabama and Tennessee RV owners.
1985
A New Home on Jordan Lane
The dealership moves to its current location on Jordan Lane in Huntsville, providing more inventory, more service capacity, and easier access for local RV shoppers.

From a single rental RV to three full-service RV supercenters, the Bankston family has been helping neighbors explore Alabama, Tennessee, and the entire country for more than five decades.
Still family-owned, still focused on customer-first care across Alabama and Tennessee.
Harrison Bankston's RV Story
Harrison Bankston began his career as an engineer at Teledyne Brown in Huntsville, Alabama. Along with a business partner, he purchased a single RV and rented it out on weekends. The rental income helped pay for the RV, while the off-weekends became family camping trips and road adventures.
Listening to customers share stories from their own trips, Harrison realized that RVs were more than vehicles - they were memory-makers. That passion for helping families travel and connect is what led him to establish Bankston Motor Homes in 1970.
From the beginning, he focused on doing business the right way: fair pricing, clear communication, and real support after the sale. He also built strong relationships with manufacturers, including the then-new Tiffin Motorhomes in Red Bay, Alabama - famously telling Bob Tiffin, "If you can build them, we can sell them."
A New Generation of Leadership
Today, Bankston Motor Homes is proudly led by Harrison's grandsons, Chase Baerlin (President) and Colin Baerlin (Vice President). For more than a decade, they worked throughout the dealership - in Service, IT, and Sales Management - before becoming owners in 2021.
Chase has been recognized by the RV Industry Association as one of its "40 Under 40" future leaders , highlighting the impact that Bankston Motor Homes and its leadership continue to make in the RV industry.
More than ten members of the Bankston family are involved in the business today, helping ensure that the original values of integrity, honesty, and customer care show up in every department - from sales and finance to parts and service.
