How It Started
In 1970, engineer Harrison Bankston turned a weekend RV rental into a family business. Listening to customers share stories from their trips, he realized RVs were more than vehicles—they were memory-makers. He built Bankston Motor Homes on fair pricing, clear communication, and real support after the sale.

A New Generation
Today, Harrison's grandsons Chase Baerlin (President) and Colin Baerlin (Vice President) lead the business. They worked every department—Service, IT, Sales Management—before becoming owners in 2021. Chase was recognized as an RV Industry Association "40 Under 40" leader. With 10+ family members involved, Bankston Motor Homes keeps its founding values of integrity and customer care in every department.

Can I trade in my current RV?
Absolutely. We accept trade-ins at all of our sales locations. Bring your RV in for an appraisal, or contact us with details for a preliminary estimate. We offer fair market value and make the trade-in process straightforward.
What areas do you serve?
We serve customers across Alabama and Tennessee from four locations: Huntsville (sales, parts, and service), Gadsden (sales, parts, and service), and Ardmore, TN (parts and body shop). Many of our customers also travel from neighboring states like Georgia, Mississippi, and Florida.
Do I need an appointment for RV service?
We recommend scheduling an appointment so we can reserve time and parts for your visit, but we do our best to accommodate walk-ins when possible. Contact our Huntsville or Gadsden service departments to book a time that works for you.
What happens during the RV delivery walkthrough?
Our delivery technicians walk you through every system in your RV—electrical, plumbing, HVAC, slides, awnings, and appliances. We don't rush. The walkthrough takes as long as you need to feel confident and comfortable before you leave the lot.

Yes. Harrison Bankston founded the business in 1970, and it's now led by his grandsons, Chase Baerlin (President) and Colin Baerlin (Vice President). More than ten members of the Bankston family are involved in the business today across sales, service, parts, and finance.
